That would be a flat NAY.

I don’t do flats.  Even my boots walk a height of no less than 2.5″, at the bare minimum.  So, let’s not even get me started on my heels.  As I once told someone, the height of my heels appears to escalate in tandem with my age.  On that note though, I do hope it peaks at 40 because 5.75″ is about the max for me.  Anything more and I may as well go with stilts.

Here are some glorious flats I found while scouring the web.

Blue Monarch Butterfly Flats

Blue Monarch Butterfly Flats from here.

Muse Leather Flats

Muse Leather Ballet Flats in Olive from here.  This store does have some wedged heels that I’m positively aching to get my hands on and feet in.  I shall keep you posted on that!

Hand-Painted POW BAM Flats

Hand-painted POW BAM Flats from here.

Pastel Pixel Leather Oxfords

Pastel Pixel Leather Oxfords from here.  Several chunky boots available too.

Vintage Cork & Mesh Flats

Vintage Cork & Mesh Flats from here.  These are simply magnificent, why couldn’t they be heeled???

Retro Polka Dot Ballerina Flats

Rainbow Retro Flats from here.  I feel like doing the jitterbug now.

I do so wish these came in the kind of heel and/or boots I’m partial to, so I could strut loud and proud in them ~ maybe I could find some heels somewhere and stick them on.

What say you?  Are you a heel kinda woman (or dude) or you like being grounded?

I do believe I lit up my surroundings with this outfit.  It’s all sorts of colourful, is it not?  There’s an entire parade going on yet it seems to work (that’s what I’m going with, anyways).  Eye-popping hues, effusive prints, stained glass effects, Bollywood cuff, oh and the hair.  Let’s not forget about the hair.

Gah.  I’m still squinting, damnit.

And then, there were those shoes.  I fell in love with them the moment I laid eyes upon those cathedral stained glass heels with that Royal Blue Suede upper.  In fact, my infatuation stretched across the purchase of two pairs, the second being with Black Suede.  Yes, insert sheepish grin here, I tend to do that.  Purchase things in multiples.  Particularly when it comes to shoes.  As though you didn’t already know that by now.

Purple Wolf Head Pendant fashioned from Clay.  It’s from this amazing store called The Rogue & The Wolf which is in the midst of a superb sale so go forth :) and that stunning Stag ring?  It’s thrifted.  Do you not also adore my Bollywood Cuff??  It’s the perfect mix of Turquoise with Gold.  Sidenote:  how is it that when I try the all pouty and sassy pose, I just end up looking somewhat cross-eyed and just, well, cross?

“Beast Mode” ~ To flip out; lose control; be overwhelmed with anger. Origin: Beast Wars- Optimus Primal would “go Beast-Mode” and change into a powerful and forceful animal.  Can you tell that this is one of my favourite gym shirts?

Hey, posing is tiring.

Incidentally, Chartreuse is also one of the handful of liquors which continues to age and improve in the bottle.  Read:  there is hope for me.

| outfit details ~ Chartreuse Cardigan (part of a twinset) thrifted, Floral Overload Leggings, Bollywood Cuff and Stag Head Ring all thrifted, Beastmode Tank from Etsy, Purple Wolf Head necklace from The Rogue & The Wolf, and FUNKYDOODLE Wedge Booties from I can’t remember where |

Let me clarify that I am NOT a brand snob.  Nope, nope, nope.  I love and covet, with equal levels of lust, both indie labels as well as haute couture treasures.  And, let’s be honest, most of us can’t afford to dish out that sort of money for luxury pieces, even as we continue to live in hope.  Which is why the accessibility proffered by the likes of Etsy and eBay are priceless beyond, well, price tags.

Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Denim Jacket

This authentic and genuinely amazing Vintage Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Denim Jacket was a gift from my man for Christmas.

Roberto Cavalli Fabric Snakeskin Alligator bag

So too this glorious Fabric + Snakeskin + Crocodile Bag from Cavalli.  I am blessed to have married someone who understands and indulges in my “hoarding”.  Both the Westwood and Cavalli were purchased here.

Isabel Marant Amos Pumpkin Mesh Tank Dress

Now this beautiful Isabel Marant Mesh Tank Dress isn’t vintage but it’s gorgeous and so versatile.  Can you believe this is my very first garment from the House of Marant?  Yes, I am hanging my head in shame.  Purchased from a diehard aficionado of IM (read: ever so slightly obsessed), my old friend from school, Marlene.  She has her own blog and frequently shares new findings she’s unearthed.

Yohji Yamamoto Y3 Black Torsion Mesh Heels 01Yohji Yamamoto Y3 Black Torsion Mesh Heels 02

I couldn’t believe I scored on these sexy, stylish Yohji Yamamoto Y3 Sneaker Heels.  I’ve been wanting a pair like that for the longest time ever and when Beacon’s Closet listed them, I was supremely quick to ADD TO CART.

What are some of your latest treasures?  Tell me, pretty please and thank you.
