I’m not sure how I feel about this outfit.
On one hand, I love the crisp feel of a white shift paired with pops of colour. And on the other hand, shapeless garments aren’t precisely the best option for my current steroid-pumped state. I did, however, have loads oodles and doodles (and noodles) of fun posing for this post. I felt pumped and stoked. I suppose, then, that I do actually quite like this ensemble.
And, why yes, this was what I wore on Independence Day. Hear me out though. I do think this isn’t too in-your-face-screaming-colours-of-the-flag and could easily pass off as a regular ensemble.
I finally remembered to wear my brand new White Snakeskin Cuff, with a very special Honeycomb motif. Is it not just glorious? And a picture perfect pristine traffic-stopper in its own right which is the reason why it’s the only accoutrement I chose for my wrist this time around.
Lipstick is Barbeque from the MAC Toledo line.
And this clutch here, it’s SO beautiful and bold and blue. Snakeskin too.
I’m really loving these shoes. For me, they’re akin to Hervé Léger bandage dresses for the feet.
So tell me, does this dress manage to look less 4th July and more #ootd?
Love, Sheela

I have trouble styling these kinds of dresses, so I totally feel you. I love the texture of the fabric, though!

I feel as though it’s such a blank canvas, I ought to really pile it on but then that’d be so cliched? Ah well 🙂

Uggh, steroids are the worst! Hopefully you don’t have to be on them for long? In any case, you are killing it in this outfit. Seriously, those heels!! Thanks for linking-up!

Sadly I’ve been on Prednisone for close to three years now but but but we finally figured out what I have and so I’ve been taking the appropriate medication for a month now, and things appear to have settled somewhat. I’ll never be completely cured but it’s manageable so I’m glad 🙂 and thank you so much for visiting, Whitney, and for those kind words xoxo

I also like the subtlety of this 4th July outfit. The drss is a nice blanc canvas for all kinds of styles. Of course I am drawn to the shoes. Like a moth to a candle. Perfect shoes. (By the way. You forgot to remove a sticker from the sole LOL)

Hahahahahaha I was wondering when someone would comment on that 😛 I intentionally do not remove labels/stickers from my shoes because, generally, I list my shoes or clothes in my Poshmark closet for sale right after the blog post shoot. This way, the item can be sold as being in almost new condition GRIN
