Hey Batter, Batter, Hey

Let me begin by saying I don’t enjoy baseball very much at all.  I am, however, a staunch fan of baseball jerseys specifically those which have been designed to have absolutely nothing to do with the biomechanics of pitching whatsoever, and (clearly) are meant to be worn off the field.

Tops which border on the edge of costumey?

Perhaps.  And that being the case, why not?  Every outfit we wear is already a costume in itself with the singular difference being how far the style envelope has been nudged or pushed or shoved. I’m clearly all for playing dress up every now and again.  What about you?

Now, this sort of baseball jersey (with a low V neckline), I love.  They help elongate the frame and make the subject look lankier, taller, but most importantly, the lower the neckline, the better for me as I can’t bear anything touching my throat.

One which goes ever so well with these sporty wonders from GX Collection.

Or this DIVINE ring/cuff set from Alchemy of London.

And this exquisite python clutch from Derek Lam.

Do you turn sportswear into streetwear too?

Love, Sheela

My man built me a display shoe shelf thingy and I am so pleased to say that I have my own “shoe store” in our walk-in closet LOL I also love me my statement rings and cuffs and clutches. I don’t normally do earrings nor necklaces so those are my go-to accessories 🙂 xoxoxo

  2. Oh my! You and the heels you wear! I just cannot believe it. I would fall over, twist an ankle, and plummet into that pool beside you. Seriously! How do you do it! Maybe when you come visit me, you can wear this exact outfit to one of my son’s baseball games! Heehee.

    Love you Sweetie!

    • Hahahaha!! I wore heels all throughout being preggers too. The one and only time I fell, flat on my bump incidentally, was when I attempted flats. Never again. But you see, you’re 7″ taller than me, Anne, you don’t need heels, damnit. I love you too!!!!

    • I love GX by Gwen Stefani. They’re so affordable and edgy. They do take some breaking in though, I must confess, but after that, they’re fairly comfy 🙂
